What sports are they suitable for?
Road-cycling, MTB, running and, generally, all outdoor sports.
Comparison Table
The main features are:
Thickness
The No Rain Jacket is made of a very light and slightly transparent fabric It is packable easily in a small bag and can be taken away everywhere
The Block Rain Jacket is made of a double layer fabric and it is designed for a more intensive use
Wearability
The No Rain Jacket has been designed with a tight cut to prevent the fabric from flying during the use and therefore it has a tighter cut
The Block Rain Jacket has a regular wearability and can be worn as third layer, a sort of additional protective shell protettivo on the thermal jacket.
Impermeability value (Water Proof)
No Rain Jacket: 4.000 mm
Block Rain Jacket: 7.000 mm
This value is identified thanks to the water columns test and it indicates the fabric impermeability, measuring how much pressure water has to put on the fabric before the fabric itself lets water in.
This value is measure in mm.
A garment is waterproof when it isn’t penetrated by water until the water comun doesn’t overcome the 1300 mm, for a value between 400 and 1300 mm the fabric is defined as water repellent.
With these values we can define these jackets as WATERPROOF.
Bretahability value (MVP = moisture vapor transmission)
No Rain Jacket: 2.000
Block Rain Jacket: 8.000
The breathability value measures how much water vapor manages to get through the fabric in a defined time interval.
As it has been found out, it is a value very difficult to define.
